Have you ever felt so tired you exhaust your own head?!
Life has been hitting us a bit hard lately. Mutti was recently diagnosed with malignant melanoma. The shock has really affected me in a way that I haven't exactly known how to handle.
Mutti's surgery has been successful, but unfortunately she is immobile for about a month. There is one good part about being stuck on the 3rd floor of our house: we have been working on tons of hand sewing!
As we always say, when you can't change something, find a positive or something that you love to help turn the situation into something good. For us, this means two things: 1) throw a fantastic party or 2) do something absolutely silly and ridiculous...anything that will lead to a "great laugh" (i.e. our Weather Report video clip, featuring "Betty Weather").
With that said, I absolutely LOVE small things! Something about the smallness makes the items so cute and irresistible. I find myself saying, "that is so darn cute"! I really don't know why the size makes such a difference, but it definitely does! Make something mini, and suddenly there's an extra dash of I love that surrounding it...in my opinion ^_^

With Mutti's long, post-opp recovery, we've had loads of time to create wonderful minis!
Another one of our illustrations comes to life via needle & thread!
Zzzzzzzz.........
A girl's beauty rest - it's one of life's "essentials"!!!
>_<
I love this post!!!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel.
I am so tired but something keeps pushing me.
Luckily we have a lakehouse and we can go get rejuvenated. I am relaxing today in the beautiful of the sparkling water.
I love small and miniture too. Even bize size desserts. There is something sweet to small.
This coming from a tall...person.
You have some sweet things here.
I love the heart and little purse. Very cute.
I also love the precious sleeping doggie.
Charlotte, that you so much for visiting! We always love hearing from you. That lake house sounds amazing. Ahhhh, cool water sounds fantastic right now. We are mountain girls (born and raise in Lake Tahoe, CA), but right now we are miles away from Cali....spending time in Florida! It is beautiful, but the heat is on. We can feel that "sparkling water" that you are referring to and are so envious. Don't you love how good your toes feel when you dip them into a mountain spring? Love it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you enjoyed our mini's! We really have fun making them. And be proud of that height! I also wished I was 5'9".
Thanks again for visiting us girls. Hugs and happy projects to you ^_^
