Sittin' and Thinkin'

I love the feeling of finished projects because that means it's time to sit down and plan for new creations.  Mutti and I are elated about finishing the appliqué for the Star Quilt!  Whew, it was a job, but the individual squares are finally complete!!

62 Stars later, we didn't realize how much we got going!

The Quilt:
56 stars in a 7x8 layout to make a large quilt...it's time to start piecing these squares together!

***For the remaining 6 stars, we thought we'd put together a small baby/summer lap quilt.  One of the things I love is taking outdoor naps on the patio, when the summer breeze is passing.  Of course, nap sessions are never complete without a light, Summer Quilt...

One hour of resting outside with one of our light quilts, and I feel so relaxed and rested that it almost outweighs  a full night's sleep!  How is this possible...?

My brother, Myles, actually helped Mutti piece this one together!  It's been so sweet to have him home from medical school this past week.  We haven't really seen him for the past two years, so the visiting have been very treasured.

Apparently our dear friend, Mr. Nut, is well prepared for tonight's full moon viewing - the Thunder Moon.  In honor of our Star Quilt, we too feel that we absolutely cannot miss it.

...and of course we'll have to make a moon wish!
